Yolanda Ortega

Advocate for Higher Education

My personal and professional experiences have prepared me to represent CD 8 as a member of the University of Colorado Board of Regents to serve its students and academic community. I’m looking forward to serving alongside CU Regent Nolbert Chavez who has endorsed me. Former CU Regent, Dr. Irene Griego also endorses my candidacy. I am encouraged to continue their agenda of promoting equity and access for all students in the CU system.

Thank you for making your voices count!

It is with much humility, honor and profound gratitude to announce that I now have the honor of continuing my race in the general election for CU Regent for Congressional District 8! For Weld, Larimer and Adams County citizens who turned out to vote, thank you for making your voices count. For me, our CU students (present and prospective) win! Our CU Community wins! My dedication to serve students continues. I will continue working to create access for CD 8 and all Colorado students who have the dream of receiving a university degree. I’ve dedicated my life and passion to that purpose and passion! – Yolanda Ortega

Affordability, Academic Excellence, Career Preparedness, Accessibility are the cornerstones of Yolanda’s mission
